Most Popular Rental Car at BB&L

Everyday at BB&L Car Rental we rent our cars to numerous expats and holidaymakers from every part of the world at Amsterdam Airport and Rotterdam Airport. Despite their backgrouds, destinations and motives, we can distiguish a certain pattern in car renting.

Throughout the year

BB&L Car Rental has a variety of rental cars in different price-ranges. Throughout the year, category B is rented the most. This categorie consists of rental cars such as Renault Clio, Volkswagen Polo, Ford Fiesta, Peugeot 208 and other similar cars.

Why is this the most rented category? First of all, because category B is beneficial and secondly, despite the compact size, it offers plenty of luxury and luggage space. These rental cars cost € 29,-  all-in a day. Furthermore, while staying in the Netherlands and Belgium you’ll recieve a free GPS.

A close second is the category A. This category is cheaper than the B-category and goes for € 24,- all-in a day. These rental cars have the same benefits as the category B, such as a free GPS, but is more compact in size.

Most rented car among holidaymakers

During the holiday season, such as July and August and around Christmas until the first days in January, the rental cars of BB&L Car Rental are mostly rented by holidaymakers. The vacationers mostly hire the category O, consisting of station cars, such as the Ford Focus Wagon. The spacious station cars are ideal for families and offer plenty of space for luggage.

The difference between expats and holidaymakers

Naturally, there is a difference between the car renting behaviour between expats and vacationers in the Netherlands. Expats rent an average of 2 to 4 days. Vacationers on the other hand rent an average between 1 and 8 weeks. Dutch expats, whom are temporarly back in their home country, often choose to devide their stay by flying to a sunny destination for a week.
