Why not go see the knights of the IJssel in Muiderslot?
Perhaps the most famous Dutch castle: Muiderslot. The castle is surrounded by water and a beautiful castle garden, it is one of the best-kept medieval castles in the whole country. Its storied history dates back well over 700 years. They regularly organise fun activities here, also during the fall. On 19 and 20 October, the castle will be turned into a medieval setting and the Knight of the IJssel will be visiting. There will be food, music and all kinds of activities.
Why not take skiing or snowboarding lessons at Snow World in Zoetermeer?
Never found the right moment to learn how to snowboard? This fall holiday offer you the perfect opportunity! At Snow World Zoetermeer children can take skiing or snowboarding lessons anytime during a five day period. The final day of lessons will be celebrated with a festive children’s menu and a Snowy medal and diploma ceremony. Children between the ages of 4 and 5 are given a 55 minute lesson, children between the ages of 6-12 can enjoy an 85 minute lesson and children aged 8 and up can sign up for their first snowboarding lesson. How about an adventure at Dierenpark Amersfoort zoo?
Your children will surely love a day at Dierenpark Amersfoort! During the Dino Adventures you and your family and friends can go on a quest looking for food for the dinosaurs with a real dino-ranger as your guide. Part of the park will be closed because the jungle is full of dinosaurs that are quite unruly in the fall months. Children can hike and climb and even their parents will enjoy this outdoor adventure.
A day as a real scientist at the Science Centre in Delft
Why not experience what it is like to be a real scientist for a day? At the Science Centre in Delft you will find countless technical artworks that are fun educational for the whole family. Discover how sun energy works and how we will combat earthquakes in the future. The centre offers creative workshops all year round that are suitable for children between the ages of six and fifteen. Fairy tale adventure at Sprookjeswonderland
This is truly a diamond in the rough: The bewitching Sprookjeswonderland in Enkhuizen. Great for families taking a day trip during the holiday break. In the enchanted forest you will find many fairy tale figures and once you reach Violinde castle you will be treated to a musical about a spoiled princess named Violinde. There is also a children’s petting farm with deer, goats, donkeys and many more animals. And in the enchanted playground, the children can play on the animal playground equipment for hours.
